Workshops

OBSERVATION OF THE CHILD

Godi Keller

This workshop will focus on the importance of observing children as one of the most important tools in upbringing and education. We will practice observation of the child according to different parameters, amongst them the physical, emotional and cognitive development. The insights gained on the issue can provide guidance for both parents and teachers.

BOTHMER GYMNASTICS

Martin Baker

This practical workshop will focus on why we want to move and why people all over the world play games and engage in different free time movement activities. The deeper aspect of this phenomenon will be discussed and the workshop will further look at what you can discover in yourself when you move which often eludes sedentary investigation. We will play, run, jump, chase, throw, catch, stretch and investigate the invisible in movement.

HISTORICAL AND FOLK DANCES

Hedvika Lopatič

In this workshop, we will turn back time to the 16th century and dance in a circle, in lines, in pairs, as it was danced 400 years ago and up to this day. You will learn dances of historical importance that are part of the inheritance of European folk dance (French and English folk and rural dances and many others).

MUSIC

Eva Jurgec, Klemen Bračko, Žiga Fabbro, Jan Jarni

Silence. From it music is born. From the inner image of sound that is in each person, a musical mosaic of all the participants of the workshop is formed.

JUGGLING AND UNICYCLING

Anja Bošnjak

We will learn how to drive a unicycle. This workshop will provide you some basic knowledge of juggling, including juggling with two and three (or more) juggling balls and different ways of pair juggling. You will learn to ride a unicycle and get acquainted with juggling equipment such as juggling clubs, juggling rings, bounce balls, spinning plates, and others.

EURHYTHMY

Natalija Petrovič

Through movements and gestures of Eurythmy you will get familiar with spatial forms of social and group dynamics and experience the Renaissance dances.

STORYTELLING

Ljoba Jenče

In this workshop we will concentrate on folk tales. We will look at the complexity of human speech instrument, the importance of a conscious pronunciation, formation of words and images and how all this influences not only on the quality of our storytelling but also on the physical and mental growth of children who perceive our voice.

COPPER DESIGN

Borut Korošec

You will learn about the fundamental principles of the copper design and get familiar with some basic equipment used in designing of the copper. You will indulge yourself and create a bowl, adorning it with a simple ornament.
